I think these are definitely worth the money, and are a good investment that pays off. I also just used one to carry important information (passport, insurance, flight information, etc.) on my holiday - having my information in one safe place meant that I didn't have to worry about where I'd put it. These wallets are more convenient than heavier paper binders, so I can travel lightly and fit a lot into my small backpack. They also give your notes some colour (literally), and make them more approachable - your notes are no longer all just a mound of white paper! They've all been able to contain a full courses' notes, and really help give structure to your organisation.
They're transparent too, so you can double check what's in there if you have to. I put each courses' notes in a different file, and use a different colour for each course so I can instantly grab the notes I want - that's the main advantage of having multiple colours for me. I bought these to organise my university notes.
