I have wound the SEP policy back to only do Antivirus functions, turning off all the other features eg TruScan, Application and Device Control, Firewall, etc An error log is created which I have included below. Once SEP is installed, the iManager authentication screen will appear, but after filling in their details and pressing enter, the window just vanishes. Without SEP, all is good they can log in and get to their admin functions in iManager. When the Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) client is installed, our network administrator cannot use Novell iManager, which runs in its own locally-created webserver (tomcat).
My company uses Symantec products for managing viruses and spyware on end-user workstations, so I have to implement the latest version in the image I am developing now. I create SOE builds for a living and I have an issue with the one I am currently working on.
